Research Findings: COVID-19 & Suicide Risk

The Mindstep Foundation are delighted to have supported vital research into the effects of COVID-19 on the mental health of the UK population.

Our charity funds the Mindstep Fellowship within the Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory at the University of Glasgow, supervised by Professor Rory O’Connor.

This recently published research will help provide interventions for those made more vulnerable by the pandemic and subsequent cost of living crisis. You can find several of the key findings above.

Professor Rory O’Connor said:

"The Mindstep Foundation has provided us with vital support for our research to understand the mental health effects of COVID and the cost of living crisis – and how we can best support people who are vulnerable."

Thank you to all our charity supporters and the team at the University of Glasgow who made this important research possible.
